The skin around the eyes is much thinner than in other areas and is particularly susceptible to early ageing. If you notice that tired eyelids make you look older and more exhausted and you want to regain a fresh look, an eyelid lift may be the procedure of choice.

The best method for eyelid lifting

Depending on the desired result, there are different techniques for eyelid lifting. At revitCells we extend the most effective surgical methods with new approaches from cell therapy to achieve additional, rejuvenating effects. The eyelid lift is performed under local anaesthesia, twilight sleep or general anaesthesia and takes about 1-2 hours depending on the extent of the treatment. The upper eyelid lift and the lower eyelid lift can be performed separately. Depending on your wishes, a combination of upper and lower eyelid correction and eyebrow lift can also be performed.

Eyelid lift on the upper eyelid

The tightening of the upper eyelid is performed by removing a strip of skin. I usually extend this procedure by relocating stem cell-enriched fat from the fat deposit near the nose in the upper eyelid region to achieve a lasting rejuvenating effect. Additionally, I bring the brow fat that has sagged with age back to the upper region, which also has a rejuvenating effect. In the case of an extended brow lift, the scar is concealed by the eyebrows, or in the case of a forehead lift, it is relocated to the hairy part of the head.

Eyelid lift on the lower eyelid

When tightening or correcting the lower eyelid, I not only remove skin and fatty tissue, but also strengthen the retaining apparatus that holds the fat in the eye socket. In this way, the unwanted protrusions disappear. The fine suture is placed directly at the edge of the eyelashes. Often, so-called nanofat, i.e. stem cell-enriched fat from e.g. the lower abdomen, can also be introduced into the subcutaneous region. Nanofat in particular can also be used excellently as a sole therapy for dark "circles under the eyes" and often leads to a significantly more rejuvenated skin texture.
