miraDry®, Botox®
and suction against
underarm perspiration and odor

In the case of so-called hyperhidrosis, i.e. increased sweating above the usual level, we distinguish between the primary and secondary forms. Divided into degrees 1-3, it is important whether it is sweating in the armpit, the palm or the sole of the foot.

Primary hyperhidrosis is caused by an overfunction of the nerves controlling the sweat glands. In the secondary form, other diseases are responsible (endocrine, neurological, psychologically induced or drug-induced hyperhidrosis).

After the increased sweating has been qualitatively confirmed with the so-called minor test and other diseases have been excluded beforehand, an appropriate therapy can be started.

Botox®

Botolinum toxin can be used to treat the corresponding regions under local anaesthesia on an outpatient basis. The controlling nerve cells of the sweat glands are stopped. The effect lasts for about 6 months, depending on the initial situation and stage of the hyperhidrosis.

miraDry®

This procedure uses thermal energy to permanently eliminate sweat and scent glands without surgery - studies show an average of 82% permanent reduction in underarm sweat after just one session.

Suction curretage

During this operation, the sweat glands are suctioned out under local anaesthetic.
